ABOUT ME
I use only the highest quality material such as super fine merino wool, alpaca and pure silk to produce my works of art. I use a technique that involves rubbing wool into silk to create the textural treasures. My fascination with textile design is similar to a seamless and multidimensional garment that is created free of constraints of the weave or knit stitch. The colours and designs are also created with less restriction than that of other textile methods and can be added to the piece of textile almost like paint is brushed on a canvas. This freedom to sculpt and paint allows almost limitless opportunity to create beautiful treasures from this natural and historical media. I have always enjoyed the liveliness of wool fibres and utility of wool textiles. Environmentally, wool is a renewable resource, and when tossed aside, is 100% bio-degradable. Wool is naturally flame resistant and will keep its wearer warm even when it is wet.
I look forward to creating the special piece of art for you and sharing my love of wool and silk, and my passion for excellence in design.
